Taking the time to actually explore the various interests that excite the individual would be one way of specifically identifying the said individual’s strengths. This can be done in a number of ways such as observing what excites the individual, what creates the willingness to extend help even when the circumstances is deemed not likely to improve, being able to identify what sort of activity will most likely attract the interest and commitment of the individual, where and when the individual is most likely to contribute mentally or physically and any other such scenarios that would cause the individual to be more approachable and more likely to be contributive.
